SPIRITUAL FORMATION AND CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
Who is missing from your congregation? Recent studies indicate that families with children with autism are almost twice as likely to never attend church or other religious services. In addition, children and adults with other disabilities such as physical, developmental delays, attention defecit disorder, sensory challenges, anxiety, etc. are often missing as well.
The mission of The United Methodist Church in East Ohio is to make and mature disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
The Committee exists to develop and promote Spiritual Formation & Christian Education that gives all children of God, regardless of age, a transforming knowledge and experience in the Christian faith. The goals of the Education & Faith Formation Committee are:

The Spiritual Formation & Christian Education Committee consists of 12 members and is supported through conference Shared Ministry Apportionments. The bishop nominates the committee chair and the Leadership Committee nominates the remaining members of the Education Committee. All 12 members are then formally elected to their positions by the annual conference.
